January Newsletter

Happy New Year! 2012 is going to be a great year, I can feel it. It’s week #2 of the session and students have already made a lot progress and are off to a great start.

We have set goals for the new year, too. One of them is to make Kinetic Theory the top circus school in the U.S. I think we are on the the right track, with our fantastic coaching team of award-winning and internationally recognized teachers:

  • Eric Newton - Aerial Arts & Pilates
  • Kennedy Kabasares - Aerial Arts
  • Lexi Pearl - Aerial Arts/Youth Circus Arts
  • Dmitrious Bistrevsky - Youth Circus Arts
  • Anthony Abeyta – Acrobatics
  • Jacob “Kujo” Lyons - Chinese Pole
  • Joshua Zehner - Physical Theatre
  • Me (Stephanie Abrams) - Contortion

It’s been almost one year since we went through the wall and expanded studio… I can’t wait to see what exciting new changes this year brings!

” Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will” – George Bernard Shaw.

Anyone wishing to perform is welcome, all you have to do is:

  • create an act (with the help of your coaches of course)
  • find or make a costume
  • submit your music and technical requirements by the deadline
  • attend the scheduled dress rehearsal (during the week of Apr. 24-26, times TBA)
  • perform your amazing piece in the show!

Winter/Spring Session Begins

We are proud to welcome back our reoccurring students and we are also pleased to see some new faces here at Kinetic Theory Circus Arts, which we hope to get to know better throughout this Winter/Spring session.

Winter/Spring session will be running from January 3rd — April 23rd. Registration is picking up, so if you have not signed up for class, now is as good time to register for classses as any. Don’t know if you can commit to a weekly class? No problem. You can drop into any class–just give us a call ahead of time to schedule a drop in. Open workouts are also being offered throughout this session:

Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 10-2PM
Tuesday/Thursday: 1-4PM
Sunday: 6-9PM

In closing, as George Bernard Shaw once said, “Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will”

2012 is the year of the creative process, so as we all train this session, let’s reflect on the process of creating and accessing our creativity in a way that best expresses our skill, uniqueness, and our talents.
