The season of shows has arrived! 9 performances, 4 completely different shows! Not to mention summer classes, camps, other gigs and more! “Are they crazy?” you ask yourself. Yes, completely insane! But the shows are going to amazing and this spring and summer are going to be filled with creativity and growth!
Inspired by ancient Egyptian mythology, this original show combines awe-inspiring circus skills with physical theatre and stunning costumes. Featuring the performers of the Kinetic Theory Circus Troupe.

Our summer camp is a creative and fun place for kids ages 6-12 to explore circus over the summer. Kids learn aerial arts, acrobatics, juggling, stilts, clowning and physical theatre, dance and movement as well as costume design and arts and crafts. Each week the kids put on their very own circus performance complete with costumes, make-up and lighting!
We are doing a special week-long performance training intensive for advanced youth ages 10-21. Skill training, dance and choreography, act development, audition prep and more!

Did you know that we are the only school in Southern California offering a pre-professional training program in circus arts? The KT Circus Troupe & training program offers aspiring professionals ages 16+ both skill and performance training as well as “real-life” performance experience. Some KT Troupe members have already gone on to professional careers and can seen performing around LA at theatre and club venues and abroad with companies such as Cirque du Soleil.

Kinetic Theory Founder/Artistic Director Stephanie Abrams has been busy teaching some international workshops this year in addition to her work with the amazing students here at KT. She recently was in Germany, Switzerland, France and Sweden sharing her knowledge and her signature approach to teaching flexibility and artistic development. Check out the photos from her trip.
Her recent workshops at North Pole Studio in Stockholm were so popular that she has been invited back to Stockholm this fall where she will also serve as one of the judges for “Pole Art International” the only pole competition and showcase dedicated to the artistic side of pole acrobatics! Did you know that we are the only circus studio in Los Angeles that offers a progressive, performance- based approach to circus training. Performance is our passion and teaching the art of performing is as important to us as teaching skills and safety. All of our skill classes incorporate movement sequencing, improvisation and creative expression. We also offer “Creative Movement”, a class that combines dance technique with expressive movement. We also have special workshops in artistic development for circus artists, pantomime and physical theatre.

Wow, this is only month 2 of the new decade and KT is already bustling with excitement! Owner/director Stephanie Abrams has been globe trotting and teaching workshops all over the world; the students and staff have been busy on the home front and are making amazing progress in classes; and we are busy planning shows and events, photo shoots and more artistic projects than ever before!
Aerialist and coach extraordinairre, Rachel Walker, returns to KT with another set of one-of-a-kind workshops! Don’t miss this chance to learn new trapeze techniques and skills, explore your apparatus and grow as an artist.

Are you looking for ways to expand your movement vocabulary? Want to be more expressive with your body or improve your dance skills for circus, pole, or any other performance style? Or just want to spend an hour a week doing a really fun class… come to “Creative Movement” on Sundays from 1-2pm with Gia-Rose! This new class incorporates basic dance technique with creative expression. Learn to move while doing fun, original choreography!
