Train how you want to perform.
That is director Stephanie Abrams’s philosophy. If you want to be an expressive story-teller on stage, you must train your performance muscles as much as your skill muscles.
KT performance program alumni have performed in professional circus shows around the world including: Cirque du Soleil, Pippin Broadway National Tour, 7 Fingers, Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey Circus, Wonderworld Entertainment, Star Circus, George Carden Circus, Circo Atayde Hermanos; and many have showcased their acts at festivals and competitions including The Chicago Contemporary Circus Festival, Denver Aerial Acrobatics Festival, Atlanta Aerial Arts Festival, Pole Art Stockholm, Sweden, and more.
Stephanie is currently offering one-on-one act development coaching for all circus disciplines as well as workshops in circus-theatre.
Testimonials

"KT as a theatrical circus studio offered an inspiring and creative environment for both students and coaches. Under the direction of Stephanie, we were constantly encouraged and inspired to explore and express our artistic voices. During the creative process, when blocked or lost, Stephanie can always be depended on to give constructive guidance and authentic feedback for further development. As a traditional hand balancer who’d been doing classic style for over 20 years, KT offered me an inclusive, inspiring and safe place to explore contemporary circus vocabularies. It was not an easy process because traditional circus was deep in my blood, but KT and Stephanie offered resources like workshops with amazing artists, artistic connections and the unconditional support. KT played a critical role in developing my artistic potential and the upcoming contract with 7 Fingers." - Junru Wang- Hand-Balancer, Cirque du Soliel/7 Fingers
"Stephanie helped me get on the right track towards my circus dream. Before arriving to Kinetic Theory, I was a martial artist wanting to be part of the circus world but didn’t know how to achieve that goal. Steph showed me the way and provided amazing tools to help me develop as a performer. Thanks to her guidance, now I’m able to keep evolving as an artist in the international circus scene." - Sebastian Plester- Acrobat, Ecole de Cirque de Quebec Graduate 2020/7 Fingers

‘Never forget to close the mime door after you have opened it.’ Working with Stephanie taught me to put stories before skills and concepts before costumes. Using theater and storytelling as the foundation for my artistic voice as a circus artist has provided me with techniques to create acts that audiences remember and want to see again. - Fosse Lin- Bianco- Acrobat/Aerialist, Diavolo Dance Theatre
