UPCOMING EVENTS
Kinetic Theory Theatre has been creating outside-of-the-box physical theatre, circus, and vaudeville shows for over 25 years.
This project has been made possible through support from- The Yiddish Book Center's Yiddish Arts and Culture Initiative, Jewish Communities of Vermont (JCVT), The Harold Grinspoon Foundation, The Brattleboro Area Jewish Community (BAJC), The Vermont Jazz Center, Morning Glorious Vintage, and generous individual donors.
We presented our first professional vaudeville/variety show On Stage Live! in 2015 and it was an instant hit. OSL ran monthly in our original Culver City venue and then seasonally in our new West Adams theatre until 2020. In Vermont, KT has produced several vaudeville shows including: Vaudeville Night & Speakeasy Soiree in 2024 at the Vermont Jazz Center and Momento Mori Halloween Cabaret at the Bellows Falls Opera House.

Move over Mrs. Maisel, A Bissel Borscht Belt is coming to town! A Bissel Borscht Belt is a fun-filled tribute to the Catskills variety shows of yesteryear that truly shaped modern American entertainment. Peppered with comedy and fantastic feats as well an all-star cast of circus and variety performers including: award-winning mime/director Stephanie Bass Abrams and her husband Patrick Branstetter (formerly of Blue Man Group); internationally acclaimed hand-balancer/contortionist Fleeky Flanco; The Flying Lin-Bianco Brothers- Fosse and Teo Lin-Bianco Las Vegas and San Francisco-based performers from Spiegelworld, AIDA Cruises, Diavolo, Joe Goode Dance Company and more; and renowned Western Massachusetts-based Klezmer Kapelye featuring Rachel Leader (violin), Ariel Shapiro (accordion), and Ozzy Gold-Shapiro (vocals/ukelele)… this interactive performance experience filled live Klezmer music, dancing, comedy, juggling, acrobatics, Yiddish language and culture, schtick, spiel, kvetching, and cursing will have you kibbitzing, kvelling, and getting verklempt from all the meshuggaas! In other words, you'll have a blast and won’t want to miss it!
